About me
My name is Dieter, aka @braapshots. I’m professional sports- and adventure photographer and digital content creator based in Belgium. Many moons ago I got a Master’s Degree in Experimental Graphic Design from St Lucas (Gent) and a Diploma in photography.
I started my career creating graphic and video content for Barco’s state-of-the-art LED displays to show what they could do for bands like U2 or at events like the Frankfurt Auto Show, the Olympic Opening Ceremony or the US Superbowl. Sometimes, I was also asked to photograph these beautiful displays in action. That’s where my love for photography was born.
Over the years, I have created content for Goodyear and Dunlop, photographed artists such as Elvis Costello, Macy Grey, Black Box Revelation and Trigger Finger and raced across the plains of Morocco to photograph a bunch of dust-loving, speed-crazy dirt bikers on their enduro rally through the country.
When I’m not photographing you can find me on my Husqvarna 701 or in a 4x4 on the dirt roads of South Africa on my way to have a ‘braai’ (BBQ) on a deserted beach.
I’m available to travel for assignments across Europe and internationally. (I keep my passport ready!)
